Manuel Chieregato is a composer born in Bolzano on Monday, the 5th June 1978. Engaged in musical composition since the early 1990s, from 2017 to 2020 he composed and published some hundred hours of music as part of »Gardens«, an international multimedia project aimed at every artist and scientist, inspired by »Di che giardino sei? Conoscersi attraverso un simbolo | What's Your Garden? Self-knowledge through a Symbol«, a 2000 book by Duccio Demetrio. Almost all Chieregato's musical compositions are still unpublished and unperformed today. This project has recently completed the process of incorporating all his previous projects such as »Drafts«, »Cathedrals«, »Great Waters«, »Actus Spei - Puppenspiel« and »Ὁ Αφροδίτας Κάπος / The Garden of Aphrodite«, a non-narrative multilingual script, written in 1996, revised in 2007 and 2008 and returned to be the subject of in-depth study from 2020, divided into 13 interdependent dadaistic video artworks, characterized by experimentalism and multiple figurative, literary and cinematographic references.

He collaborates with Italian artists - such as Vittorio Gazzera (video artist), Nadia Prousch (recorder player), Mara Palumbo (organist), Angelo Turchi, Agnese M. Garufi and Isabella Stabio (saxophonists), Guido Picariello and Francesca Chiofalo (pianists), Elisabetta Tagliati (soprano) and Massimo Restifo Pecorella (clarinetist) - and with other artists from around the world as, for instance, Loïc Abdelfettah (violist).

He was the creator, author and host of three multilingual cultural columns for the web TV »Valle PRO TV«: »Paesana Art Expo 2020«, »VallExPo« and »Gardens – Sentieri Sonori di un Progetto Multimediale / Sound Paths of a Multimedia Project«, in which details and curiosities of the development of the »Gardens« project are told. He was the creator and curator of the collective exhibition »Paesana Art Expo 2020«. His music has been exhibited in Aosta (2018), Milan (»Memorie Abbandonate«, 2018), Turin (»L'Arte Risveglia l'Anima«, 2019), Paesana (2020), Longarone (»Arte in Fiera Dolomiti«, 2021 and 2022) and Vercelli (Biennale Nazionale d'Arte »Città di Vercelli«, 2022); has been the subject of interviews on »SafeCreative Italia Blog«, »Border Nights«, »Radio Arca Italia«, the Guatemalan »Radio Experimental Progresiva«, the Chilean »Radio Ambient« and others; appears in two musicology books (A. Amore: 2018; R. Cresti: 2021) and in some art catalogs.
